The team of IASO is proud to announce that we just signed the contract for the ETFE façade of the future Olympic Stadium of Nice (France).
With a structure made of a wooden mesh, it is a splendid ecologic project for which the choice of ETFE was totally appropriate. The transparency of the material will allow to add lightness to the building, to have a great effect with light and to follow perfectly the organic shape of the framework.
With a total surface of 20200 square meters, the ETFE façade is a new challenge that IASO is taking up, the challenge of creating a exceptional building that will complete the beauty of the city and for which a perfect quality of execution is essential.
A project by MIAS ARCHITECTS with a spherical shape and a total transparency.
The MIAS ARCHITECTS’ project for the headquarters of the company iGuzzini in Spain, with a spherical geometry and a total transparency, allows a solar protection of the building for its South, East and West zones. IASO designed a solution made of a double curvature membrane, in one piece, constituting the envelope of the spherical building, by being tensed on a geodesic structure made of nodes and of an aluminium frame.
The membrane is actually a permeable textile mesh, an aesthetic product especially designed for façades. This textile, ref. FT381, provides great performances, particularly a decrease of the light intensity coming into the building.
The singularity of the construction is given by the high transparency of the architects’ project, and for which the concept of integrating a solar screen adds aesthetics to the final result and helps improving the thermal insulation of the façade. The solution developed by IASO, based on the use of a doubly curved membrane made of stripes of different colours that follow the shape of the structure, contributes to the dynamic and colorful effect that was expected. By looking at the building from different angles, we can notice that the colour and the transparency of the building changes.

Estudio L35 Arquitectos did the roof design for the Islazul commercial centre and its installation was carried out by the IASO Company, specialists in this type of material.

Under the technical direction of Chapman Taylor architects, IASO has constructed the 6,000 m² marquee for the CC Levante-Unión, located in the city of Valencia. The design has been carried out with cushions inflated with compressed air, constructed with ETFE films —250 µ-printed films in the exterior and 250 µ-transparent films in the interior. The spectacular nature of the project and its dimensions reveal the capacities of IASO to fabricate and install ETFE coverings and the enormous possibilities of developing and applying this material in Spain.
