ETFE panels are part of a new generation of plastic materials that do not degrade under ultra violet rays, atmospheric pollution and neither do they age rapidly. In this way they are an unparalleled alternative to traditional materials.

With the added advantage of their lightness and the high standard of their fixtures and fittings ETFE panels suppose a substantial saving on roofing solutions. Savings can be made by employing cost effective structures and low maintenance cladding; and this is nowhere more evident than in light-filled minimal supporting structures as well as for large surface enclosures.

In typical usage ETFE sheets can be made up of a single layer tensile fabric supported peripherally or a low pressure air-filled multilayer cushion.

Below are two projects, each using a form of the two ETFE systems previously described and both demonstrate how a new approach to engineering and architecture allows for a unique and unusual design that conventional construction methods fail to produce.
